Another Program of Masoom is Career Cell Program which is mainly focused on the night school students who have passed their SSC exams. Masoom has setup The Career Cell in 2012-13 in order to support night school students to pursue higher education and vocational skills. Night school students are working as class IV employees, canteen, courier service and domestic servants. They come to night schools to complete 10th Std. which makes them eligible to enter in to organized sector. The focus of the career cell is to provide skilling to support girls and boys students above the age of 18.
Masoom counselor provides career cell guidance to the students of the schools from the class 9 and class 10. Career cell guidance is done through internal team or external partners for free. Objective of career guidance is to orient the students about the different available opportunities and career choices in the market along with the basic requisites.
Masoom will provide short term courses to the students. Short term courses serve a minimum period of 3 months to 1 year. For short term courses, Masoom pays 90% of fees and students contribute to remaining fees as part of their own contribution. Till date 1590 students have completed short term (out school) courses. Long term courses serve a minimum period of 2 year to 5 years. Masoom pays 75% of the fees and students contribute to remaining fees as part of their own contribution. Till date 64 students are supported through Longterm support. Long Term course provided to students are as follows:
